MWD Measuring Tools for Drilling

MWD Measuring Tools for Drilling

Tools

The Drilog MWD specificities a highly efficient two-way data communication system that transmits LWD and rotary guidance data from the well to the surface system at a maximum transmission rate of 12bps. This provides more data, faster for optimizing the well location, improving drilling efficiency, reducing risk and ultimately increasing production. Provides a platform for Welleader® rotary guidance services and advanced LWD services including, but not limited to, DWPR, ACPR, INP & LDI, IFPT and more. Drilog-MWD can provide information for ECD monitoring for timely response to borehole stability issues. In addition, downhole parameter and vibration measurements can help optimize drilling parameters and improve tool reliability.

Applications

  • Real-time LWD and rotary guidance data transmission
  • Borehole trajectory control
  • Optimization of drilling parameters

specificities

  • High-speed data transfer capability (0.5bps~12bps)
  • Able to power and bi-directionally transfer data for multiple LWDs and rotary guides downhole
  • Continuous tool face, inclination and orientation measurement. Azimuth Measurement
  • Real-time monitoring of downhole annulus pressure, well diameter, tool vibration, displacement, etc.

PMRS Static Magnetic Reconnaissance Guided Positioning Tool with Drill

Tools

PMRS is a passive drilling guidance tool that utilizes fluxgate arrays to measure the weak magnetic field gradient signals around the target well casing and drilling column to calculate the relative distance and position between the drilling well and the target well to achieve positioning and guidance without the need for other auxiliary tools to be lowered into the target well . The tool can be connected to the Drilog system to provide real-time feedback on the drilling trend of the borehole trajectory to maximize the time efficiency of the operation.

Applications

  • Rescue Wells
  • Well Collision Avoidance
  • Re-entry/Collision Avoidance for Older Wells
  • Accidental Well Rehabilitation
  • SAGD Well Operation

specificities

  • Real-time measurement transmission, high frequency of data measurement, no need to frequently drill up and down
  • Support remote transmission, can provide remote real-time technical support
  • Can be operated in oil/water-based mud
