IFPT In-Fill Formation Pressure Logging Tool
Tools
The IFPT Drill-On Formation Pressure Tester can be hooked up to the DRILOG system to provide real-time formation pressure and flow data. Drill-on-drill formation pressure test is one of the most important test methods for drill-on-drill logging, which is able to obtain the formation pressure when the formation is just opened, and is characterized by the use of short interruptions in the drilling process to measure the formation pressure, with a short test time, and is able to solve the problem of the difficulty in lowering the cable instrumentation during the testing of wells with large inclination, horizontal wells, and wells with large displacements. Compared with the traditional technology, the pressure data measured by the formation test with drilling can better reflect the real pressure situation of the formation, which can optimize the drilling process and improve the drilling efficiency. Its main uses include real-time adjustment of annulus pressure, timely adjustment of mud density, optimization of completion scheme, improvement of cementing quality, calculation of geological reserves, determination of fluid separation interface, optimization of well structure and well location selection. IFPT owns the patented sealing push and lean probe mechanism, which can realize intelligent control of the push and lean force to adapt to the sealing requirements of different hardness formations and prolong the service life of the probe; it adopts the accumulator automatic recovery technology and the weak point design of the probe structure, which is a dual means to reduce the risk of the drill tool jamming caused by the failure of the probe to be recovered under the abnormal condition .
