DWPR Drillable Reservoir Boundary Probe Tool
Tools
Drilling Wave Resistivity Log (DWPR) is a new generation of resistivity measurement and geosteering tool. The instrument adopts a new type of fully symmetrical compensating array coil system composed of dual-tilt orthogonal and axial transceiver antennas, and obtains azimuthal resistivity information and directional geologic signals by measuring spatial multi-component electromagnetic signals, from which it inverts reservoir boundaries in real time and displays the stratigraphic structure around the borehole and changes in the physical properties of the reservoir. The instrument also has the function of azimuthal gamma imaging measurement, which can realize 360-degree three-dimensional active geosteering around the well , greatly improving the reservoir encounter rate, reducing production costs and increasing the output of a single well.
